Taylor Kohrs, Metro West Housing Solutions and Shopworks Architecture have been collaborating on Indy Street Flats for the past four years, successfully being awarded 4% LIHTC in 2017. Indy Street Flats is 110,848 sq ft, involving the adaptive re-use of a 67-year old Masonic Lodge into 19 studio apartments, the rehabilitation of the existing Belmont Manor property into 12 two-bedroom apartments, and the construction of a new building, to meet Enterprise Green standards, with 84 apartments, providing a total of 115 apartments serving families.
The new building is a 3- and 4-story wood frame construction, served by one elevator and interior stairs along interior corridors. The apartments are a mixture of one (1), two (2) and three (3) bedroom units with A/C, coat closets, walk-in closets, ceiling fan(s), refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, garbage disposal, built-in microwave, and cable and internet connections. The roof is white TPO material. Exterior skin includes cementitious lap siding and brick.
